This knife is made from a 75-year-old leaf spring from a Model A Ford. The leaf spring was found buried at the Tooele Utah golf course and donated by a friend of mine. The pitting in the metal was from being buried for so long.
i wanted the blade to show its age and the pitting from being buried for over 75 years in the earth, i then decided to give the sheath an earthy feel by using leather and suede, and inset with a very soft and beautiful anaconda skin panel, the handle was made from stabilized Thuya Burl hardwood and pinned with two small star mosaic pins, this was the second I made from these ancient leaf springs, and wished I had more of them to use, because everyone has loved this knife and sheath combo, and to top it off we used a Indian head coin snap
